In 1619, because hemp was such an important resource, it was illegal not to grow hemp in Jamestown, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. From ship rigging to canvas covered wagons to nutrient-dense seed oil and protein, American history wouldn’t be the same without hemp. This discussion will focus on the history of hemp, how the end of prohibition is opening up opportunities for hemp farmers, and how hemp can start to begin to heal the Earth.
